I’ve worked with various types of artists, from rock, rap, country, salsa, folk, African Drumming and many other world styles.
Lillie Ream
My most recent artist project (summer 2010) was with Lillie Ream on Big Island, Hawaii. She had never recorded before, and had only her voice and lyrics to start with. I had two sessions over parts of two days to coach and record her, and develop a guitar part for it. I needed to keep the production fairly simple, and I think it worked well. Take a listen.
Brendan Nolan
Brendan Nolan is a consummate professional Irish folksinger, and I had the pleasure of working on three of his productions. Bobby O’Donovan was an invaluable part of production, playing flutes, mandolins, and fiddle. Recording and mix by Jim Beckwith, Common Touch Music.
“Nolan has been blessed with a rich Irish voice and an Irish way with words. In his singing and his musical arrangements he helps his listeners to feel the pain, the joy, the humour, the triumph, the sadness, the longing, as deeply as did the old songs of the tradition.”

James Tokley, Sr.
James Tokley is the Poet Laureate of Tampa, highly regarded and called upon to create works for events and ceremonies. He’s also a prolific artist, creating works ranging from haiku to epic poems. Recording and production by Jim Beckwith, Common Touch Music. Piano on ‘Loneliness’ by Devin Rice.
